Making everyday exceptional for our residents

Christmas Magic Comes to Coombe House

The festive season is in full swing at Coombe House, and a true sense of warmth and celebration fills our home.

Last week, our residents came together to decorate the beautiful Coombe House Christmas tree. The room came alive with laughter, festive music, and a wonderful sense of togetherness as ornaments were carefully placed and memories of Christmases past were shared. One resident remarked, “It’s such a lovely tradition—it really brings the festive spirit to life.”

We have welcomed The Bourne Players, who brought a medley of seasonal music to brighten our day. Their lively performance had everyone tapping their feet and singing along to classic Christmas tunes.

This week continues to be packed with festive activities. Residents enjoyed a delightful evening of carols, readings, and poetry performed by Marian, Clive, and John Rogers, followed by sparkling wine and nibbles. A wonderful evening filled with Christmas spirit.

Every afternoon, Christmas music fills the air, creating a cosy, cheerful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

The festivities continue later this week with our annual Christmas Jumper Day—an event that never fails to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. Next week, we’ll welcome preschool children to Coombe House, spreading even more holiday cheer with their special visit.

We have many more Christmas events and activities planned throughout December, and we can’t wait to share more heartwarming moments with our residents and their families.

At Coombe House, we pride ourselves on offering Exceptional care every day, especially during the holiday season. Whether you or a loved one are looking for short-term support or want to learn more about our respite care options, please contact us to arrange your visit.

Let Coombe House bring a little Christmas magic to your family this season.
